What it is

A saturated, plant-derived lipid nearly identical to a lipid your own skin makes. Ours comes from olive or fermented sugarcane, never marine sources.

Why it's in the formula

It smooths the hair cuticle and reinforces the skin barrier without a greasy film, and it is stable enough not to go rancid on your shelf.

What to know

Non-comedogenic for most people and one of the best-tolerated lipids in cosmetics.
