Kitchen herb, serious chemistry.
Also known as: Origanum vulgare · Oregano leaf extract
- What it is
- An extract of oregano leaf carrying carvacrol and thymol, two of the most studied plant phenols in existence.
- Why it's in the formula
- Those phenols are why oregano keeps showing up in preservation and clarifying systems. In a wash it supports a clean scalp environment and adds antioxidant coverage to the formula.
- Where it comes from
- Mediterranean-type oregano leaf, extracted rather than pressed, kept well under any level that would irritate.
- What to know
- Potent undiluted. Use only in formulated products, not as neat oil on skin.
