The slow base a cold-process bar is built on.
Also known as: Olea europaea fruit oil
- What it is
- Oil pressed from the fruit of the olive tree, high in oleic acid and naturally rich in squalene and polyphenols.
- Why it's in the formula
- It saponifies into a mild, low-depleting soap with small, creamy bubbles. It is the reason the bar cleans steadily instead of harshly, and why skin does not feel scoured afterwards.
- Where it comes from
- Cosmetic-grade pressed fruit oil, used as the majority oil in the bar rather than a token inclusion.
- What to know
- Very well tolerated. Rinses clean; no residue left sitting on skin.
