What it is

Rice protein broken down into smaller peptides and amino acids so it is water-soluble and small enough to sit on the skin surface evenly.

Why it's in the formula

It adds slip and softness to a wash, which is what stops a clarifying cleanser from finishing tight. It conditions the surface while the charcoal takes the oil off.

Where it comes from

Plant-derived from rice, enzymatically hydrolysed, cosmetic grade.
